Questions

Drone photography, answered.

How much does drone photography cost in Chicago?

For listings, drone photos and video are priced in booking, and you see the exact price before you confirm. Commercial and construction aerials are quoted per project, with a proposal within two business days.

How can I verify if a drone pilot is FAA-certified?

Ask for the pilot’s FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate as proof of certification, and confirm it by searching their name in the FAA’s Airmen Inquiry database (opens in a new tab). Drones flown for business must also be registered with the FAA, so you can ask for the drone’s registration number too.

Why does it matter if the drone pilot is certified?

Flying a drone for business without a Part 107 certificate breaks federal rules, and the FAA can issue steep penalties for it. A certified, insured pilot keeps your shoot legal and covered.

Can you fly near O’Hare, Midway or other airports?

Often, yes. Much of Chicagoland sits in controlled airspace, where we request FAA authorization before the flight. Whether it’s approved depends on the exact location, the altitude and the timing, so we check your address when you book.

Can you fly at night?

Yes, where the location allows. Twilight and night aerials are flown under the FAA’s rules for night operations, and near airports only with FAA authorization.

Do you fly drones inside homes or buildings?

Not currently. We don’t fly FPV drones indoors. For the inside, we shoot smooth gimbal walkthrough videos, and a 3D tour lets people explore every room on their own.

How fast will I get my aerial photos and video?

For listings, drone photos arrive the next business day and drone video in 2–5 business days. For commercial and construction projects, the delivery date is set with the project.

What if the weather isn’t safe for flying?

We don’t fly in rain, snow or strong wind. If conditions aren’t safe, we reschedule the aerials.
